Our history

1974

Giancarlo Losma discovers a new market: air and coolant filtration systems for machine tools. The first mist collector is ASP1, which faces a need nobody considered until then: breathing clean air in workshops. A few years later the company adds also coolant cleansing systems.

1987

Losma enters in UCIMU the Italian machine tool builders’ association opening to a new concept for entrepreneurship and internationalization.

1988

Losma starts the first co-operation for the international sales network with a UK distributor.

1990

The company moves to Curno, where offices and production are still based, on an area of 17.000 sqm – 5000 of them indoor.

1992

After a few years on the American market through commercial network and distributors, Losma opens its first subsidiary: Losma Inc.

2000

To better support German customers, the main market in Europe, Losma GmbH opens the offices near Stuttgart.

2003

Losma is among the first companies in the sector understanding the importance of European certifications, obtaining ISO 9001 quality certification.

2008

The co-operation with companies from automotive market creates the need of a new tech department dedicated to big centralized solutions. The second Italian office opens in Turin to answer faster to customer requests.

2008-2012

Giancarlo Losma is elected President of UCIMU. In the same period, he is also appointed Italian delegate at Cecimo, European Association of Machine Tool Industries.

2010

In India opens Losma Pvt Ltd, with offices in Pune. This subsidiary is also a manufacturing company for the local market.

2011

Losma Ltd opens in UK, offices are located in Strensham in Worcestershire.

2011-2014

Giancarlo Losma is elected for 2 mandates as President of Federmacchine.

2012

Losma Inc. offices moves to Sparta in New Jersey. The new location is bigger and provided with a spares and products storage, for quick supply on the local market.

2012

With its strong experience on international market, Losma SpA becomes the leading member of ITC – a business network for the promotion of Italian mechanical industry on the Indian market.

2013-2017

Giancarlo Losma is elected President of Piccola Industria in Confindustria Bergamo.

2015

Environmental protection is not only a company mission, but a management policy. To underline the importance of this topic Losma obtains ISO 14001 certification.

2017

Losma India Pvt Ltd opens its new plant at Shindewadi – Pune: a production subsidiary that is able to offer specific solutions to the local market
